BT today announced that it has signed a contract with Bank Machine, the Independent ATM Operator, to extend its network of payphones with integrated cash dispensers. Over the next five years, BT and Bank Machine will provide a minimum of 125 additional ATM Payphone kiosks across the country. The deal follows a successful initial roll out of the cash machine kiosks by both companies across 40 sites in the UK.

BT has rolled out 250 ATM payphones to date, having partnered with several of the UK’s high street banks to integrate cash dispensing facilities with payphones in busy and convenient locations. The deal between Bank Machine and BT further reinforces the BT ATM payphone as an effective way for ATM providers to extend their networks, while it allows Bank Machine the opportunity to further enhance its offer by introducing free-to-use cash machines to more sites up and down the country.

Bank Machine is the first Independent ATM Operator to offer a national network of free-to-use cash machines in the UK.

The Bank Machine cash dispensers will accept all cards, and can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
