Bank Machine Confirms Huge Success Of Blackbird Leys ATM
In its first ten days of service over 2000 people in Blackbird Leys have used the new free-to-use ATM installed by Bank Machine.
Blackbird Leys has been identified as a Low Income Area by Link, but Ron Delnevo, Bank Machine's Managing Director stressed this had nothing to do with the selection by Bank Machine of this site. "We identified this as a good location for a free-to-use ATM many months ago, long before any talk of "low income" areas emerged. I am absolutely delighted that our confidence has been vindicated. We are proud to be able to provide this local service to the residents of Blackbird Leys".
Bank Machine is leading the way for Independent ATM Operators in terms of the provision of free-to-use ATMs in the UK, with many new sites planned for 2007. "Each month we will publish a list on our Web Site of ATMs installed under our initiative and we will very much welcome new suggested sites", comments Debbie Smyth, Bank Machine's Operations Director.
